ÍSS hefur gefið út keppnisreglur fyrir tímabilið 2020-2021
Stærstu breytingar/mikilvægar áminningar:
- Allir flokkar:
- Tónlist og texti skal vera við hæfi íþróttakeppni og tekið skal mið af aldri og þroska keppenda.
- Chicks og Cubs:
- Ný level milli level base og level 1 sem hvetja til þess að sýna „clean“ spor (þrista, mohawk, twizzle, rocker, counter, loop, bracket, choctaw)
- Minna en 5 clean turns: Level B1 (gamla level base)
- 5 clean spor: Level B2
- 7 clean spor: Level B3
- 5 clean erfið spor: Level 1 (þristar og mohawk teljast ekki)
- 7 clean erfið spor: Level 2 (þristar og mohawk teljast ekki)

- Upphitun verður tvöfaldur prógramstími
- 6, 8, 10 og 12 ára og yngri:
- Sporasamsetning tekin út og vogasamsetning sett í staðin
- Eldri flokkar:
- Breyting á aldri í samræmi við Keppnislínu:
- 15 ára og yngri verður 14 ára og yngri (Novice)
- 17 ára og yngri verður 15 ára og eldri (Junior/Senior/Intermediate ladies)
- Viðbót á Adult flokki (25 ára og eldri). Flokkurinn er hugsaður til að leyfa fullorðnum á öllum stigum íþróttarinnar að spreyta sig í keppni. 25 ára og eldri mega einnig keppa í 15 ára og eldri óski þeir þess.
- Frekari útskýring á kóreósamsetningu: „Kóreósamsetningar eru listrænt element. Þær eiga að vera gerðar við tónlist, passa inn í heildarmynd prógrams og túlka tónlist á áhrifamikinn hátt.“
- Breyting á aldri í samræmi við Keppnislínu:
- Eldri flokkar og 12 ára og yngri:
- Stig verða dregin frá fyrir að fara meira en 10 sekúndur yfir prógramstíma.

Biggest changes / important notifications:
- All Categories:
- In all categories music and lyrics should fit a sport competition. Age and maturity of the skaters should be taken into account
- Chicks and Cubs:
- New level between level base and level 1 that encourage skaters to show clean steps (three turns, mohawk, twizzle, rocker, counter, loop, bracket, chocktaw)
- Less than 5 clean turns: Level B1 (formerly level base)
- 5 clean turns: Level B2
- 7 clean turns: Level B3
- 5 clean difficult turns: Level 1 (three turns and mohawk do not count)
- 7 clean difficult turns: Level 2 (three turns and mohawk do not count)

- ÍSS Club Competitions
- All categories:
- Warm up time is double the program time
- 6, 8, 10 and 12 years and younger:
- Step Sequence is replaced with Spiral Sequence
- Older categories:
- Age changes according to ÍSS rules:
- 15 years and younger becomes 14 years and younger (Novice)
- 17 years and younger becomes 15 years and older (Junior/Senior/Intermediate ladies)
- Adult category (25 years and older). The category is intended to allow adults in all stages of the sport to participate in competition. Skaters 25 years and older are also allowed to compete in the15 years and younger category if they wish to do so.
- Further explanation of the Choreographic Sequence: „Choreographic Sequences are an artistic element. They should be performed to the music, fit the overall structure of the program and interpret the music in a skilful way.“
- Age changes according to ÍSS rules:
- Older categories, including 12 years old and younger:
- A deduction will be made for every 5 seconds exceeding the maximum program time.
